Nov 28th - Dec 31st - Enchanted Forest Walk
A self-guided tour of the holiday lights & displays in Waubonsie Park. Tours: Sunday-Thursday 5-8p and Friday-Saturday 5-9p. Free will donations are appreciated. A golf cart is available to assist with the walk.

Dec 1st - Dec 31st - Christmas in the Villages
A variety of holiday activities throughout the county including a Festival of Trees, bakes sales, crafts, Santa visits, and more. For more information or a free brochure contact the Villages of Van Buren.
Dec 2nd - - Keosauqua Home Lighting Contest
Homes will be judged on December 2nd from 6-8pm, please have your home lit at that time to be judged. First, Second, and Third place prizes will be awarded. Please contact the Chamber to register your home (or your neighbors) to be considered for the Lighting Contest. Sponsored by the Keosauqua Chamber. You are encouraged to leave your lights up and on throughout the season!
Dec 6th - Dec 8th - Festival of Trees
Beautifully decorated live Christmas trees, wreaths, table top trees, and more based on the theme "Cheery & Bright" on display at the Roberts Memorial Building (Hwy. 1 North of Keosauqua). Live entertainment provided all weekend long. Hours: Friday 5-9p, Saturday 9a-8p, and Sunday 12-3p. All items displayed are available for purchase through a silent auction that ends Sunday afternoon. Proceeds from the auction go to Christmas for Kids. This event is sponsored by the Van Buren County Lions Clubs.

Dec 7th - Dec 8th - Cookie & Candy Walk
The Farmington Arts Council is sponsoring a Cookie & Candy Walk at the Farmington EMS Building (208 4th St.) selling a variety of homemade candies & cookies for $7.00 a pound. Books-R-Fun will be set up with a book sale as well.
Dec 7th - - Bonaparte Breakfast On Main Street & Holiday Cookie Walk
A delicious breakfast served 7-9am by the Bonaparte Library Board in the Whitely Opera House. Holiday Cookie Walk, sponsored by the Bonaparte Historical Society, beings at 8a in the Whitely Opera House.
Dec 7th - Dec 8th - Holiday Open House
The Farmington Comminity Center (201 4th St.) will be open Saturday 9a-4p and Sunday 10a-4p with a variety of vendors including crafts, quilts, Avon, soap & lotions, Scentsy, jewelry, Tupperware, rugs, bake sale, and more. A quilt will be given away on Sunday. Food will be available both days, serving begins at 11a.

Dec 7th - - Christmas in Bentonsport's Historic District
Local specialty shops open extended hours, 10a-7p, with shop workers dressed in period attire. Main Street and the Historic Bentonsport Bridge will be lighted. A scavenger hunt will be ehld from 4-6p, participants must find an item in each shop and/or outside to match a clue given to them (items are related to the history of Bentonsport). "Scavengers" meet at Shelterhouse by 6:15p to enjoy refreshments and determine a winner.
Dec 7th - Dec 8th - Pioneer Home Driving Tour
Maps available at the Pioneer Historical Museum (next to Casey's). This is a self-guided driving tour of the historical homes and businesses in Farmington. Maps will have historical information about each.The museum will be open Saturday & Sunday 10a-4p.

Dec 7th - - Soup Supper & Santa in Birmingham
A variety of soups will be served. The cost is $5.00 for adults, $2.50 for children 4-11 and children under 3 eat free. Pictures with Santa will be from 6-7pm. Christmas readings, crafts and refreshments will be at the library from 7-8:30pm.

A self-guided tour of homes, appitizers and a three-course candlelight dinner served at the Bonaparte Opera House. Reservations required. Tickets $25 each. This will be the final year for this event - don't miss it!

A free-will donation soup supper will be held at the American Legion Building in Stockport beginging at 5p. There will be entertainment by local children and a wreath auction. The evening will end with a Santa visit at 6:30p.
