The Villages Folk School specializes in providing learning experiences in traditional arts and skills, while drawing upon the uniqueness of each of the eleven historic Villages of Van Buren County Iowa. Classes are held in peaceful rural settings so students can return to a simpler time and witness the importance of the artisan in village-life. Pre-registration is required for classes.
Fundraiser to support Keosauqua Chamber mini-grant program for business members. Everyone is invited! Teams of 4-8 encouraged for Trivia Game. There will be a nacho bar, citizen of the year award, sundaes and auction. $20 per person.
Did you know, collectors discover links to Iowa's past through antique bottles? Meet one of Iowa's foremost antique bottle experts: Mike Burggraaf of Fairfield, co-author of the book, "The Antique Bottles of Iowa". Mike will be presenting a program at the Stone House about antique bottles of Southeast Iowa during the 1850-1910 era. Featured examples from the towns of Bonaparte, Farmington, Ft. Madison, Keosauqua, Keokuk, as well as other southeast Iowa towns, will be displayed.
Everyone is welcome to the Birmingham Vol. Fire Dept. Annual Open House and Business Awards Night. Serving beef and noodles, chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, applesauce, bread and butter, beverage and dessert. Free will offering.
Ranch Horse Show Series - The first of the 2018 series. Jackpot sorting, roping, barrel racing, extreme trail course competition, wine tasting, dance, food concessions, and more. Camping available on grounds.
Special Weekend Event: Vet Clinic, Vaccination & Coggins with Dr. Bill. Also, both a farrier and an equine dentist will be onsite for your convenience.
Come and see what's new in at the Co-op this season. Lapidary demonstrations at 1pm & 3pm. Weather permitting. There will be refreshments.
Open House for the Bentonsport District 2018 Season. Shops will have treats, demonstrations, door prizes and new items in all the shops.
