Enjoy the Holiday season in the
Villages of Van Buren!

Come celebrate with us as we host several special events throughout the month of December.


December  6

An Old-Fashioned Christmas- Shops open 10a-5p. Shopkeepers will be dressed in period costumes. Refreshments will be served in several of the shops. Bentonsport Artisan Co-op will have ornament kits for kids to make. At 10:30 & 1:30 a Christmas poem/story will be recited in this shop. Visit each shop to enter a drawing for a gift basket. Entry forms at Forever Sweet Creations.

There will be demonstrations in blacksmith, weaving and pottery.

Santa will arrive at 12:00 noon on his Harley. He will hand out treats in the shelter house 12:00-1:00.

December 20

Snacks with Santa - Santa arrives at 5:30pm at the Birmingham Lions Building (110 Cross St). Children will receive a small gift bag. Free hot chocolate & cookies for all.

November 29

Small Shop Saturday - 9am - 4pm Start your Christmas shopping early! A variety of home sale and craft vendors will be on hand offering great holiday specials. Local stores will also be opened.

December 6

Breakfast of Main Street - 7am-9am Bonaparte Library Board will offer breakfast at the Opera House for a free will donation. Come to town early and support our local shops after your meal.

Christmas Connection - 8am - ? Bonaparte Historical Society will offer a vast selection of homemade goodies for you to purchase. Proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the Aunty Green Museum.

Santa Comes to Town - 4pm Santa will make his annual visit to town to visit with area children.

Amish Buffet - Sunrise Bakery, ( 31154 210th St., Bonaparte) will host a homemade Amish buffet from 5:00pm-7:30pm. Adults: $10, Children: $5, Under 4: Free.


December 21

Christmas Music Concert - The group "Gateway Singers" will perform a Christmas Concert at the Bethel Worship Center at 6:00 p.m.

Soup Supper with Santa - Soup supper at Township Hall from 5pm - 7pm. Santa & Mrs. Claus will be arriving at 6 pm. Chili,cheese soup & desserts will be served with a free will donation. Music and carols provided by Milton Christian Church. There will be a golf cart available to view the lights.
