Iowaville & Selma

In the northwest corner of the county, these communities are rich in Indian lore and history. A mighty battle was fought there, when a combined Sac and Fox war party attacked the peaceful Iowans.

Both Blackhawk and Keokuk spent time in the area, and Blackhawk was originally buried near Iowaville.

Iowaville/Selma are unincorporated and fall under the jurisdiction of Van Buren County. They have no official "city government".
