Oct 19th » Paul Yoder Family Benefit Supper & Auction

Marcus Lynn, 3months old, had open heart surgery on Sept. 17th with a 4-week stay. The benefit is to help with medical expenses. 

Supper is from 4:30-7:30pm. Auction will start at 7pm. 

Supper will include Grilled Chicken and Homemade Ice Cream.

The Villages Folk School specializes in providing learning experiences in traditional arts and skills, while drawing upon the uniqueness of each of the eleven historic Villages of Van Buren County Iowa. Classes are held in peaceful rural settings so students can return to a simpler time and witness the importance of the artisan in village-life. Pre-registration is required for classes.

Oct 21st » End of Season Musical Program

Featuring area talent, Steve & Michaela McLain. They are a class act heart and soul duo. In the past 3 years, they have opened for John Michael Montgomery, Blackhawk, Lori Morgan, Arron Tippen, Sammy Kershaw, the Bellamy Brothers and more. Steve & Michaela's sets offer original folk rock and blues, composed by Steve and other Fairfield based songwriters, mixed with Americans favorite classic duets. Freewill donation. All proceeds go towards the Bentonsport Presbyterian Church for maintenance and preservation.

Oct 27th » Howl-O-Ween Parade

Join the fun at the Howl-O-Ween parade in Bentonsport at 11am. Prizes will be given for the best owner and dog costume in the shelter house at 1:15pm. Free will donation lunch will be served at the shelter house after the parade. 

Trick or Treating for children will be from 12:00-1:00pm at the Bentonsport shops.

Registration and lineup will start at 10:30am at Paddle, Pedal and More, 21903 Hawk Dr. Bentonsport. Please have child's/your costume and dogs costume ready and to go by 10:55am. The Howl-O-Ween Parade will start at 11:00am.
