Porchfest aka Music on the Porch at the American Gothic House

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and settle in for an afternoon of great food and live music! This come-and-go event welcomes all ages. No preregistration needed. Relax at your own pace, enjoy the atmosphere, and if you'd like a little extra comfort, a limited number of shade tents will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Porchfest, aka Music on the Porch, is an annual music event held on the last Saturday in August across the United States, Canada, and beyond. Started in Ithaca, New York, in 2007, Porchfest events bring local musicians and neighborhoods together to celebrate and create a sense of community by performing on porches. It was founded on the idea that "what if, for one day, we all just listened to music?" This year's celebration will be held on the 4th Saturday in August due to the last weekend being tied to Labor Day.2
