Van Buren County, Iowa, is located in Southeast Iowa, just minutes from two major 4-lane highways. Hwy. 27 (Avenue of the Saints) to the east and Hwy. 34 to the north. State Highways 1 and 2 are the main connectors through the county, as well as State Highway 16. We are approximately 90 miles south of I-80 and 120 miles East of I-35.
Each year, we are amazed at the number of new residents who are either new to the Villages of Van Buren or who were raised in the area and have found returning to their roots a positive experience and long-awaited in some cases.
