Ranch Horse Show Series - The finals of the 2022 series. You won't want to miss this final competition and awards. Jackpot sorting, roping, barrel racing, extreme trail course competition, dance, food concessions, and more.

The Scenic Drive Festival is a Countywide Festival with numerous events and activities planned in most of the Villages. Featuring arts and crafts vendors, antique vendors, art shows, music, garage sales, kid's entertainment, parade, car and motorcycle show, food and more activities throughout the Villages.

Rural Voters will have the opportunity to have their questions answered by the candidates for the Board of Supervisors and County Treasurer during a Candidate Forum, that will be sponsored by the Van Buren County Farm Bureau.
This event will be held live in person.
The County Candidates Forum will be held and will focus on Rural Issues facing Van Buren County with all Supervisor and Treasurer Candidates invited to attend. This event is free and open to all residents of Van Buren County. This forum will not be a debate, but an opportunity for community members to meet each candidate, which will give their positions on rural issues. Questions from the community are encouraged and will be accepted by email at email@example.com, or by written submission during the forum. Approved questions will be read to the candidates by a moderator. Questions considered one-sided or threatening will not be used.
The Van Buren County Farm Bureau understands that harvest is quickly approaching but hopes farmers will be able to take the time to learn more about the candidates for Van Buren County Supervisor and Treasurer.
Friday 7-9pm: Donkeys will be numbered up and in pens. People will be able to just ride and a chance for anyone new to get their horses used to the donkey. No admission fee.
Saturday 11am-3pm: Full arena sort. All teams will be drawn, the number of rounds will be determined by the number of people. Teams of 3 people. $15 a person will enter you in all the rounds for the day. You will also need a $5 wristband if you are not camping. Sign-up will be 10-10:45am. There will be a Jackpot round at the end of the practice rounds. This will cost $5 a person and each person can enter 3 times.

The Villages Folk School specializes in providing learning experiences in traditional arts and skills while drawing upon the uniqueness of each of the eleven historic Villages of Van Buren County, Iowa.
Classes are held in a peaceful rural setting, so students can return to a simpler time and witness the importance of the artisan in village life. Pre-registration is required for classes.

Trail ride, dance, wine tasting, fun contests and much more!
Free hot dogs, chips and bottled water for everyone. There will be kids' games and goodies for the kids. The firemen will have a fire truck on display and will hand out goodies to the kids. Load up your trunk with goodies and come to the park to treat the little goblins. Everyone is welcome to participate.
