Local Churches and Van Buren County residents will be joining the 98 other Iowa counties in reading the Bible out loud throughout the month of June. 

Everyone is welcome to join, just choose a book "Genesis to Revelation" read out loud, alone or with others.

The Great American Family Circus will perform across from Hel-Mart all weekend! Flea market and Craft Vendors, Kids Games, Dog Show, Pioneer Museum Open House, Live Entertainment and more. Color Run on Saturday at Indian Lake Park and Kenny Hamburg Car Show on Sunday.

FREE Strawberries and Ice Cream 2:00-4:00pm on Saturday & Sunday in downtown Farmington.

This year's Fly-in Breakfast will have a special open house of the NEW Keosauqua Municipal Airport Hangar!

Come check it out and enjoy All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes & Sausage served by the Keosauqua Lions. Pilots flying in, eat free!

Ottumwa R/C Flyers will be performing amazing aerobatics with their remote-controlled aircraft, IHCC will be present with career opportunities in Aviation and Air Evac will be on display.

Two airplane rides will be given away (to be scheduled at a later date) as door prizes.

There will be prizes and kids games plus all kids ages 12 and under will receive a coupon for a FREE Ice Cream Cone at Misty's Malt Shop in Keosauqua!

There is no admission fee for the Fly-in. The public is welcome to attend. Bring your lawn chair and join the fun!

Jun 15th » Van Buren County Museum Crawl

Join the Van Buren County Museum Crawl for a walk through our past with guided tours & demonstrations of pioneer life. 

NEW this year, the Pearson House Museum Complex in Keosauqua will have a display of vintage aprons which includes over 1,000 aprons of all shapes and sizes. Many will bring back memories of the aprons "just like grandma wore". Tour guides will be dressed in period clothing, you can tour the Pearson Family home, which was a safe house on the Underground Railroad. Cool drinks of switchel, mint tea & lemonade will be offered.

Morris Park in Stockport will have a unique huckster wagon on display, mystery tool identification quiz...can you tell us what some of our tools were used for? See a rare bustle bench, clothing display and several free kids activities throughout the day.

Visit all of the featured Museums in the Villages that will be open with FREE admission!

Jun 21st - Jun 23rd » Donkey Sorting Series

Friday 7-9pm: Donkeys will be numbered up and in pens. People will be able to just ride and a chance for anyone new to get their horses used to the donkey. No admission fee.

Saturday 11am-3pm: Full arena sort. All teams will be drawn, the number of rounds will be determined by the number of people. Teams of 3 people. $15 a person will enter you in all the rounds for the day. You will also need a $5 wristband if you are not camping. Sign up will be 10-10:45am. There will be a Jackpot round at the end of the practice rounds. This will cost $5 a person and each person can enter 3 times.

Sunday 11am-3pm: Sort-n-pen. All teams will be drawn, the number of rounds will be determined by the number of people. Teams of 3 people. $15 a person will enter you in all the rounds for the day. There will be year-end awards for top 3 teams presented at the final sort for both full arena and sort-n-pen.
