Celebrate the 4th of July weekend in Bonaparte! Parade, fireworks, and more. There will be activities for the entire family throughout the day.

Great fun all day for the entire family in downtown Keosauqua!

• All-you-can-eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast from 7-10am. Free will donation, proceeds help support July 4 activities and other Lions' projects.
• Pedal Pull (free) signup - 2:30pm. The Pedal Pull begins at 3pm.
• Kids' Games - 4pm (or after pedal pull)
• Silver Mine - 5pm (or after kids' games)
• Mercer's Crazy Train - 5-9pm
• Popcorn and soft drinks served under the Lions' tent - 6pm
• Street dance with the Harvest Band courtesy of the Keosauqua Chamber of Commerce on Front Street - 6pm-dark
• Raffle drawing for cash prizes, prior to fireworks.
•  Amazing Firework display over the Des Moines River at dark.

Ranch Horse Show Series - The fourth of the 2023 series. Jackpot sorting, roping, barrel racing, extreme trail course competition, wine tasting, dance, food concessions, and more. 

Camping is available on the grounds.  

2023 Schedule of Events

Some of the best painters in the tri-state region will gather to compete for cash and prizes in the 7th annual Villages Folk School’s plein air competition “Paint The Fair”.

Wednesday is Paint The Fair Workshop with Farley Lewis on the fairgrounds, and Thursday, painters disperse across the county to paint in outdoor settings. Friday, painters work on the grounds with judging and public exhibit/reception at 5pm under the grandstands. Paintings will be for sale.
