Return To Calendar Bentonsport Heritage Day
Enjoy Bentonsport as it was in the 1850s. Historic homes, building and garden show, historic characters, wagon rides, games, live music, entertainers, shops' gift basket drawing, pre-1840s mountain men camp in riverside park. Home, School, and Garden Tour Copies of the guide and wristbands are available at The Stone House and the BIA Pie Stand. Tickets are $10 for each person 14 years and older. Younger than 14 years are free. Wagons will transport folks from one stop to the next every 15 minutes, or those taking the tour can walk at will. No transport is provided to the Vernon School House. To get there, cross the pedestrian bridge to Vernon and walk straight uphill to the school, or drive south on J-40 to the Vernon access road. Visitors may drive to the Burton House Gardens 1.25 miles west on Hawk Drive. To visit The Whitaker Garden, drive uphill on Ridge Road past the Presbyterian Church to the first house on the left.
