Many of these residents, and shops, still inhabit the original 1840's structures adding to the charm of this small town. The picturesque village contains historic B&B's, Rental Cottages, Antique & Craft Shops, Local Artisans, & more! An old truss bridge spans the Des Moines River and is now open to the public as a walking bridge. A beautiful Rose Garden, lovingly maintained by a force of volunteers, is housed in the former lock and dam.
